Camp Exploration Session Info:
Time-frame: July 5- August 20

Duration: 3 hours per day/9 hours per week/63 hours for 7-week program

Schedule: M/W/F- 8:30-11:30


Camp Exploration Mission:

We aim to promote socialization skills by will shaping each learner’s set of prerequisite skills across each of the below areas: (Language, Play, Social, Motor, Leisure and Life skills). These learning opportunities are facilitated by tapping into your child's imagination and motivation through reinforcement procedures based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and by creating unique and exciting learning experiences within a peer group.

Camp Exploration Program Objectives:

1.Explore the world through observations.
2.Discover the world through fun and unique learning experiences.
3.Laugh, have fun and learn all at the same time.
4.Connect with the world by utilizing social skills to establish friendships.

Camp Exploration Program Groups:

*Program placement will be based primarily on skill level and age will be taken into consideration. Placement will be determined at the completion of the skills assessment.*

• Little Explorers: Our little explorers will be offered a variety of ways to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed both through structured and unstructured play. Their days will be filled with music, dance, art, story-time and more.
• Big Explorers: Although it may seem like fun and games to our higher skill leveled group, the curriculum will be packed with learning elements. Each activity will teach social, leisure and life skills through crafts, games and physical activities.

• Music (Music Appreciation provided by our Music Therapist)

• Games
• Life Skill Exercises
• Nature Excursions &
• Sport Activities (Kids Fit program provided by our Sports Specialist)

Progression of Services:
1.  Registration: $50. This fee is required to reserve a spot in our program. Upon enrollment, this fee will be deducted from the total cost of the program. This fee is nonrefundable in the event that a client discontinues participation in the program.

2.  Assessment: The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised (ABLLS-R) will be utilized to gather a baseline of your child’s present skill strengths and weaknesses in order to create an Individual Socialization and Learning Plan (ISLP). The language, play, social, motor, self-help, writing and classroom routine component of the ABLLS-R will solely be assessed for the Camp Exploration program. Due to the nature of the activities designed for socialization in our Camp Exploration program, the spelling, reading and math areas will not be assessed. Note: If your son/daughter continues in our program beyond the camp, assessing the pre-academic areas will be required.

3.  Goals: The ISLP will be created to outline core skills and targets to address during the Camp Exploration program.                                                                                                                                                   

4.  Enrollment: The total cost of the 7-week program, excluding authorized insurance holders, will be due in full at the start of the program.
